The Hahei Explorer offers an intimate encounter with the Coromandel’s stunning coastline. This epic 1 hour boat tour visits world famous Cathedral Cove, ventures into a hidden underground blowhole around high tide, and holds a Marine Mammal Permit to get up close and personal with the abundant marine life.

• Travel 14 km past coastal islands of the marine reserve, reefs, massive sea caves and bays

Hahei Explorer Information

• Experience the first morning tour at 9 am in Summer. The sea is at it’s calmest, the marine life awakens and the rising sun shines beautifully onto the volcanic coastline.
• Visit the world famous Cathedral Cove.
• Highlights along the way can include marine life: dolphins, seals and little blue penguins.
• Blowhole: when the tide is right the tour visits an awesome blowhole, venturing through a sea cave into a gigantic rock cylinder 80 ft high!
• Narnia film locations: both Champagne Bay and Cathedral Cove were film sets for Narnia.

• Summer (November – April): 9am, 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm daily
• Winter (May – October): 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm daily
